I'm Amy Centner, a creative director, stylist, and set designer with a passion for building immersive worlds and creating memorable visual experiences.
My love of storytelling began on set as a child actor, where I became just as fascinated by the environments around me as the performances themselves. That early curiosity led me to study Visual Communications at FIDM and eventually to Berlin, where I spent several years collaborating with artist collectives and drawing inspiration from the city's vibrant creative underground.
My work spans creative direction, editorial and event styling, wardrobe, props, set design, interiors, and merchandising displays. I'm drawn to vintage aesthetics, collected objects, and the beauty of things with history. Influenced by the diverse places I've called home—including California, North Carolina, Florence, and Berlin—my approach blends nostalgia, sustainability, a DIY ethos, and a love of unconventional expression. Whether sourcing a single prop or shaping an entire environment, I aim to create spaces that feel lived in, transportive, timeless, and unexpected.
I am currently based between Los Angeles and Durham, North Carolina.
